Description

The production of these platinum probes in a round design is based on the use of platinum chip temperature probes inserted in a ceramic sleeve. Therefore, the probes are part of the category of temperature probes manufactured in thin film technology.
JUMO temperature probes in their round design represent a low-cost alternative to the coiled design. The temperature probes feature a particularly narrow diameter tolerance which notably facilitates further finishing, e.g. in the manufacture of apparatus. Moreover, the round design of the temperature probe provides good thermal contact with the sheaths.
Temperature probes of the PCR design also offer a higher load resistance compared to bare platinum chip temperature probes, a fact that makes them especially suitable for gluing in or embedding in various cast materials.
