The Space-Saving Fitting Offering a Clear View

Thanks to its compact dimensions, the type 202811 combined fitting from JUMO allows multiple sensors to be combined in a small space. It is generally operated in a bypass or after a tap point in the main line. The clear glass used in the fitting ensures that the sensors are clearly visible and allows any contamination to be identified visually. The fitting is typically used to monitor the disinfection of drinking and bathing water as well as slightly contaminated process and cooling water.

The largest version accommodates up to two sensors with a Pg13.5 thread, a disinfection sensor (to monitor free chlorine, chlorine dioxide, or ozone, for example), and a Pt100 temperature probe. In addition, a float-type flow sensor with a switching contact is located in the area where the test water flows in, and is used to monitor whether there is a sufficient and constant flow to the membrane-covered disinfection sensor. A grounding rod may also be fitted to divert any static or electric charges that occur.

Water enters the fitting through screw-in openings equipped with hose connectors. The flow speed can be optimized by means of a needle valve. The clever arrangement of the sensors and flow channels ensures that there are virtually no bubbles when operating the fitting. This, in turn, prevents air pockets that could distort the measured values. Any superfluous mounting positions can be sealed with screw connections before the device is commissioned.

A typical complete set-up for a measuring station to test drinking or bathing water comprises one pH sensor and one redox sensor, a disinfection sensor, a temperature probe, a grounding rod, and a flow sensor.
